Across the kingdom of the Aztecs, they farmed in many ways. One way was called slash and burn. The Aztecs cut down a forest and let the trees dry. Then they would burn the trees and plant in the ashes. They would also form small islands of earth in wet lands and lakes to solve the problem of living in a lake. These islands are called chinampas. When the crops were harvested the aztec farmers would use them to trade goods. The Aztec had many ways to farm.
